Overview
ASUS TurboV EVO is a freeware overclocking manager intended to take full advantage of the hardware set available in modern ASUS PC motherboards. Built from the ground up to be used both by novices and seasoned overclocking enthusiasts, one of the key advantages of ASUS TurboV EVO is its focus on enabling advanced overclocking features directly from Windows desktop. That’s right, countless visits to BIOS and UEFI boot interfaces are not needed with this app.
The app is primarily focused on enabling CPU overclocking and it provides manual overclocking tools for various subsystems located both inside CPU (buss frequency and multiplier) and your motherboard (a wide array of power-regulation settings that are crucial for enabling stable operations on higher CPU frequencies). The app can also manage the overclocking of your RAM memory (frequency and voltage).
In addition to manual overclocking, OC novices will be pleased to hear that ASUS TurboV EVO features a built-in automatic overclocking service that will slowly increase the operating frequency of your CPU and accompanying power delivery services and identify stable OC frequency for both gaming and productivity uses.
Installation and Use
It comes inside a small installation package that can be loaded into your system in mere seconds. All you need to do is to follow on-screen instructions and pick the hard drive location where you wish for this app to be stored. The app comes with a fully enabled uninstaller, making the removal of this app a very quick experience.
Upon your first boot, you will be welcomed into a very striking user interface that has very boldly designed elements that fit with the modern “gaming” esthetic. The main window offers a small monitoring area of your current CPU frequencies and processing loads and several areas for managing the OC tools. Manual and Auto-tuning modes have their own tab button on the top of the window, while various configurations and advanced settings can be accessed via buttons on the bottom (Tool, Monitor, Settings).
It is highly recommended to perform manual OC changes in small increments, thus enabling you to easily spot any instability. To quickly return to default settings for both your CPU and motherboard, you can simply click the “OS Default Settings” button located on the main window of the ASUS TurboV EVO app.
