Overview
Bad Guys at School is an indie simulation game set in an environment of high school where users can engage in both single-player and multiplayer scenarios filled with action that only high schoolers can devise. The game provides players a detailed experience of the 3D high school with fully rendered environments set in classrooms, nearby parking lots, and a wide variety of streets surrounding the school.
To complete the package developers from Forcelight have even included a mode where players can take control over teachers, and instead of striving to become the badest person in the city, try to contain the violence that high schoolers can cause.
Bad Guys at School game allows players to rebel against school roles and society and engage in violence and brutality that will earn them reputation, money, and the moniker of being the ultimate “Bad Guy”. No matter if the player has elected to play as a student or teacher, it will be presented with a wide variety of missions and activities, that will earn them money and reputation. The money can best be spent in the in-game shop by buying various items that can be used to finish specific missions.
However, it should be noted that the game is lightweight on hand-crafted content (including the complexity of the environment, with the world looking bland, empty, and devoid of AI-controlled NPCs) and offers just around 30 minutes for a playthrough both as a student and as a teacher.
However, long-term fun found in this title can easily be found in its multiplayer mode where students can fight against each other or versus teachers.
Even though the game is very light on the actual content and can best be experienced casually, its unique setting makes it very appealing to the gamer audience. Since there are so few games set in the school environment, many gamers have openly welcomed this title that has reminded many of Rockstar’s famous title Bully from 2006.
However, even the most casual players can notice the lightweight content present in this title, which makes it look like it is not a full game but an Alpha release that will be updated down the line. If nothing else, the game is offered to everyone for an extremely low purchase price of below $5.
Bad Guys at School is optimized to run on a wide array of gaming PCs, requiring only a quadcore CPU, 8GB of RAM, and Nvidia GTX 960 graphics card (or newer), which also make it playable on a wide array of modern laptops.
