Overview
Colibri Browser is a lightweight and distraction-free web browser designed to help users browse faster and stay organized without relying on traditional tabs. Its clean, compact interface focuses on efficiency, allowing you to view more content while avoiding clutter. Colibri Browser is available on Windows, macOS, and Linux, making it a flexible choice across platforms.
Instead of tabs, bookmarks, and browsing history, Colibri introduces a unified system called Links. With a single click, any webpage can be saved as a Link for later access. These Links are persistent, securely stored on the server, and always available, eliminating the need to manage multiple browser features separately.
Organize Smarter with Lists and Feeds
As your collection of Links grows, Lists help you group and organize saved pages by topic or purpose. This makes it easier to manage large amounts of content and quickly find what you need.
Feeds add another layer of convenience by allowing you to subscribe to website updates. Colibri automatically fetches the latest entries from your favorite sites, ensuring you never miss new content without manually checking each page.
Import Bookmarks Easily
One of the most requested features, Bookmark Import, is now available in Colibri Browser. You can access it from the menu via File → Import Bookmarks. The tool supports the standard HTML bookmark export format, which is commonly used by most browsers and online services.
Once the file is selected, Colibri analyzes it and displays how many bookmarks and folders can be imported. After confirming, all bookmarks are added to Links, while folders are converted into Lists, preserving your existing organization structure.
Tips to Browse Faster with Colibri Browser
Quickly Access the Address Bar
Use keyboard shortcuts to jump directly to the address bar:
-
Command + L on macOS
-
Ctrl + L on Windows
This allows you to instantly search your Links or enter a new website address.
Open Websites by Typing Their Name
Unlike traditional browsers that show search results, Colibri automatically opens the most relevant website. For example, typing youtube will directly open YouTube. If you prefer to see search results instead, use:
-
Command + E (macOS)
-
Ctrl + E (Windows)
Use Smart Search Keywords
Colibri supports special search shortcuts such as DuckDuckGo bangs. For instance, entering !yt pizza will open YouTube search results for “pizza.” This works across many categories, including news, shopping, research, media, and translations.
