Overview
Among numerous add-ons that have enabled this game to be even more realistic and immersive than its predecessors, the most noticeable features include the addition of the HyperMotion2 animation system that makes on-field movements much more lifelike and in accordance with the athletic feats of popular soccer players. The gameplay is also enhanced with “Active Touch”, a new dribbling system that improves the footballer's management of the ball, turning, and responsive movement.
What`s new in FIFA 23
This game release will also be the first in the franchise to fully support women's club football, including England's FA Women's Super League and French Division 1 Féminine present at the launch. The game developers have announced an aggressive schedule for downloadable updates, which will include new women's soccer teams and leagues.
In total, the game supports over 30 licensed leagues, 700 clubs (few of which are not featured in the game due to their commitments with other soccer simulation games), 100 realistically rendered and licensed stadiums, and over 19 thousand players from all four corners of the world. One of the big returning teams to the game is Juventus who was absent for a few years.
Gameplay & Graphics
In terms of graphics, we can agree that EA has once again shown its mastery and players have never looked more similar to themselves, and the new sweating effect only helps, as well as the grass that now looks like ... grass! The cheering has also been given innovations such as the popular shout SHOOT if you are at a great distance and have space to shoot and generally the atmosphere in FIFA 2023 feels really unbelievable and will pull you even more into the game. Whether EA Sports has done everything in its power for this farewell edition, or these changes are just a preview of things they are keeping for the debut of their new series next year, remains to be seen. Until then, if you love soccer - you won't go wrong with FIFA 23 game.
It is important to note that the PC version of FIFA 2023 Edition represents the most advanced and up-to-date version of this soccer title. While in some other sports, PC players only get access to the version of the game that is also distributed to the last generation of consoles, FIFA 23 provides to PC the next-generation game that is also featured on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Crossplay service allows PC players to play games against console users, but not on all online modes.

FIFA 23 Standard Edition vs. Ultimate Edition vs. Legacy Edition
FIFA 23 offers three different editions for fans to choose from: Standard, Ultimate, and Legacy Edition.
The Standard Edition costs $59.99 (£59.99), similar to most major video game releases, while the Ultimate Edition costs $99.99 (£89.99) and grants access to the game three days earlier on pre-release date.
The Legacy Edition, priced at $39.99 (£34.99) is mainly for the Nintendo Switch, featuring updated rosters but no new developments or significant enhancements as per EA Sports confirmation. This Edition will not come with new HyperMotion 2 technology or any new gameplay modes. It's essentially FIFA 22 with minor upgrades.
Conclusion
The latest edition of this highly controversial but also entertaining series has left a good impression. The changes in gameplay are fun and we wonder where they have been before, while the rest of the modes keep the old formula for success with a few cosmetic additions that may quickly fade, but will definitely make this experience even better. FIFA 23 is definitely the best FIFA since the transition to the last generation, although many still expected some bigger changes as every year - all of this is still enough for a final farewell to the legendary EA Sports franchise.
FIFA 23 offers incremental improvements that enhance the overall gameplay experience. The inclusion of two World Cups and cross-play features are notable additions. The game also promotes inclusivity through its support for various genders and gaming platforms, making it accessible to a wider audience. Overall, FIFA 23 is a solid choice for soccer fans.
