Overview
Skype Portable is a miniature and portable version of Skype, the famous text chat and VoIP communication app that is currently used by millions of people from all around the world. Even though Skype is available as a 100% FREE application, it still requires users to deploy it on their Windows OS via an official installer that fully integrates this app on your system. This includes changes to system Registry files and makes each installation of the full version of Skype dedicated only to one PC, without the ability to take the install directory and move it to another PC. But sPortable changes that.
sPortable takes the full version of Skype, with all of his communication tools, support for audio/video calls, and services for directly contacting landlines, mobile phones and sending SMS messages, and re-packages it into an application that can be safely placed on portable storage and moved from one PC to another.
Since the app itself is unchanged, users who have learned to use Skype on a daily basis will have no issues with managing this portable version. Finding and managing friend lists remains the same, which also holds true for chat interface, creating group chats, audio and video controls, configuration settings, and much more. The only thing that you need to take notice of is to NOT click on any app upgrade prompts. If you fail to decline and upgrade the app, then the app will remove all of its portable capabilities and remain fixed to its current storage location.
