Overview
Time Stopper is a lightweight system utility for Windows PC that allows users of all knowledge levels to take control of their system clock, wind back time, and prolong the duration of trial software usage periods. Since many modern apps are coming out as premium products that allow users only time-limited access to its features, forcing them to purchase premium license keys at the end of the test periods, this app can revolutionize this approach by delaying the inevitable premium block date and allowing everyone to continue using their free trial software in perpetuity.
Enables scheduling removal of trial restrictions for any program
Due to its simple functionality and lack of any other advanced options, Free Time Stopper is incredibly lightweight, easy to use, and able to run not only on modern versions of Windows OS but also on legacy platforms such as Windows XP and Windows 2000.
Time Stopper application can modify the end date of the trial period only for 3rd party apps that are hosting such data directly inside their executable file. This becomes apparent immediately after starting the app and viewing its main dashboard interface. Developers of this app have crafted a UI experience that allows users of all knowledge levels to easily control its one and only function of removing time trial blockers from a wide variety of 3rd party apps.
To do so, users first must locate the exact EXE file for which they wish to extend their trial period in perpetuity. This is done with an integrated file browser picker. After this step is done, users simply must pick the alternate name of the alternate desktop shortcut and pick a viable date on the built-in calendar widget. A viable date is any date that is set inside the original trial period of the app. So, for new apps that the user has just downloaded and started using, it is recommended to pick tomorrow’s date.
After all these steps are done, a simple click on the “Create desktop shortcut” button will create a brand-new icon on the desktop, which can be used to start the app whose trial period has been extended into the far future. It is important to note that starting the app via its original shortcuts or original EXE file will ignore changes made by Time Stopper, so it is highly recommended that all old shortcuts and Start Menu entries are deleted.
PROS
Lightweight, easy to use, able to run on legacy versions of Windows, can extend trial periods for 3rd party apps.
CONS
Limited functionality, can only modify trial periods for apps that host data directly in their executable file, may be unethical to use beyond trial period.
Time Stopper is 100% FREE and is optimized for use on legacy versions of Windows OS (2000, XP, Vista, 7).
