Overview
Vs Hex Mod is a brand-new mod for the open-source rhythm game Friday Night Funkin’ that continues the epic rap battle that was originally performed in the previous FNF mod called V.S. WHITTY FULL WEEK. However, in this mode, the ever-targeted Boyfriend is now forced to fight the basketball-playing robot Hex in the series of 4 rounds of advanced beatboxing, and one special bonus song. Organized into one week of challenges, this mod is highly recommended for beginner and intermediate players who are not ready to perform very hard songs that are often part of custom mods that are made by the large FNF community.
Friday Night Funkin’ is a rhythm game heavily inspired by legendary music-themed titles such as PaRappa the Rapper and Dance Dance Revolution. Made as an open-source project, this game has received tremendous attention from the fans of this genre, and because of the simplicity of creating new mods, it regularly receives updates that can challenge both novice and professional players. This mode is skewed much more toward entry-level difficulty levels, enabling anyone to experience this fun additional challenge.
The scenario in the Vs Hex Mod FnF starts with Boyfriend and Girlfriend relaxing after the recent battle against Whitty, but then Hex appears in challenges Boyfriend to the rap battle. Set in one week, this mod offers 4 main songs and one bonus track. Gameplay is of course unchanged and uses that traditional rhythm game formula where the player is tasked to timely press on arrow key buttons in accordance with the on-screen patterns of icons.
If the player is accurate with his presses, he will be awarded points and the final score of the match can be followed on the main score bar on the bottom of the screen. In the heat of the battle, players can most easily track their progress by seeing if their bar is turning green (signifying they are winning) or red (which means they are losing to Hex). The song selection in this mod is appealing, and is not too difficult, making this a perfect mod for beginner and intermediate players who want just a bit of challenge.
Vs Hex Mod - Friday Night Funkin’ can be downloaded and played for FREE, and since the mod does not increase the hardware requirements of the base game, it can easily be enjoyed on any modern Windows PC.
